Guys, it so easy. ALCA has very good avionics and is compare with F-16 class fighter in horizontal manouvre during dogfight. 212sqn jockeys are well trained for A-A by their "friends" from belgian F-16 OCU sqn. NATO pilots were surprise how is ALCA ugly "enemy". The ALCAs were successful in simulated fights against the best machines, such as F-16 fighters on NAM04.

It's not important if you are trained by USAF or ANG. Really important is to have enough flying hours, full mission simulator in Poland and money to send your guys to training such TLP etc. So, as I know from training of our jockeys from Fishbads to Gripens or ALCAs. One year is necessary to pass basic experiences on new HW and second year to increasing of pilot skills to required condition. Our most trained guys will be ready to Clean Hunter in Jun2006 after 20 months of intensive training.

212sqn was sent to Nam03 after three years of training on the ALCAs. You don't need to have A-G weaponry on the plane for realistic A-G traing. You must have integrated mentioned weapons in planes avionic and training A-G mode will provide you virtually same "fight" as with life munitions. Don't forget to full mission simulator. The hard war scenarios are trained on him.
